Our Story

Rumi fine fragrances was born out of a long-held reverence for perfumery, a devotion shaped over years of wearing, collecting, and understanding fine fragrances, beginning with the layered richness of Lucknow and Kannauj, and evolving through an enduring appreciation for distinguished compositions from around the world. That devotion would eventually recognise its match in a fourth-generation perfumer from France, and Rumi brought them into the same room.

The story of Rumi fine fragrances begins with a journey between two lands, held together by a single dream.

Our founder, Rajnish Kumar, spent years wearing, collecting, and searching for the right feeling in a fragrance. He found it rooted in the fields of Kannauj and Lucknow, where perfumery has been a discipline, not a decoration, for centuries.

He knew that devotion needed an equal. In France, he found one. François Robert, a fourth-generation master perfumer, who comes from a lineage where fragrance is built with precision and care.

When these two masters met, it was a rare moment of magic. It was not just a meeting of people, but a meeting of worlds.
